How electric bikes work: can you ride without pedaling?
Yes, all our ebikes can ride without pedaling. Electric bikes normally have 3 modes to ride.
1st mode just the same as traditional bike , just pedal with your feet and turn off the power.
2rd mode is the electric-assist mode, also known as pedaling. Turn on the power and enable pedal-assist mode. When you pedal hard, the bike will move forward. When it reaches a certain speed, the electricity will start to help it move forward, so you don't have to use so much force, such as when climbing a hill.
3rd mode is pure electric mode, where you don't have to move your feet or pedals, just throttle up and the ebike will go.
What’s the fastest an e-bike can go legally?
Normally the speed is between 15.5mph to 25mph. Don't worry all hoverfly ebikes are 15.5mph speed and 20mph speed. Your safety is our priority.
Do I need licences to ride an electric bike?
No, you don't need any special licences to ride an electric bike. We recommend riders at least to be 16 years old.
