We wanted to purchase another Z5 yellow Hoverfly but they were sold out so we purchased the Z6. The Z6 did not disappoint! We are having a blast with all of them. Everywhere we go people ask about them. "where did you rent those" is the most asked question. We are happy.
I had a wonderful experience with Hoverfly! Bonnie is an exceptional person — she treated me beautifully and handled everything with the utmost professionalism. Her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I truly appreciate the way she goes above and beyond for her clients. Highly recommend Hoverfly and especially Bonnie for anyone looking for outstanding service!
Follow-up review after a year of use: Performance remains stable through the seasons. Battery life remains at factory standards, and the frame is rust-free. A truly excellent product that stands the test of time!
A second life for my parents! Seeing them playing chess with their friends in the park again, the sparkle in their eyes speaks volumes. Easy to use, safe and worry-free charging, it's the most worthwhile investment we make as children.
This mobility scooter has completely changed my life! I no longer have to worry about distance when going to the supermarket every day. The battery life is beyond imagination. The foldable design makes it easy to put in the trunk of my car, giving me the freedom to travel anytime, anywhere.
Missing parts and no response from customer support from emails.
I received the T5 four days ago. Assembled in 20 minutes - could not have been easier! Read the manual first, it will save you time! Gone on a one hour to two hour ride each day. Took about 25 minutes for me to grow comfortable as the driver. The sidewalks around here (Boston suburb, 25 miles west) are not in the best of condition which calls for a lot of very slow driving. The T5, I find, is amazing. I have only two things I would change 1. the basket is too small to be of much use (no big deal, really) 2. The plug in for charging is in a horrible place (both places in fact). They require me to kneel on the ground. Getting down isn't so bad but getting up with my legs! Not so easy. Small complaints. Some questions, a) can the battery be charged a little? (drive to supermarket, 5 miles and charge the T5 while I shop (1 hour)? b) When I stop at a traffic lite, I turn the T5 off and turn it back on when the walk sign comes on. Doing this has brought the electric power reader to go from whatever it is back to full (5). Why? This is a quite technical question, I know. To summarize: very easy to assemble, seat etc. easy to adjust, runs very well, high setting truly moves (I rarely run it higher than half power and often down to 1/3 power), seat is very comfortable - as is the machine in full (I weigh 190 pounds and am 5'8" (I know way too heavy). A real concern I had when looking at scooters was comfort since I would be driving for hours - weather permitting! The T5 couldn't be more comfortable. Thinking about bringing a spare battery to increase distance. Don't know if this is possible. Right now a cane holder is a must get (too bad I can't fit my rollator!). 4 days is too short a time to truly know the machine. I hope to follow up this review after a couple of months.
It has been months and a lot of miles! Like the T5 but don't love it. I am learning some of its challenges. Distance - claim 16 miles. Two trips of 9 miles round trip with a one hour break after 4.5 miles. Both times the Hoverfly T5 ran out of juice after 8 miles. Managed to squeeze half a mile additional by resting for 10 minutes and driving 29 feet on the residual power. Had to push the T5 the last1/2 mile. Easy to push if you have a good back. I don't but got it home. Speed during the 9 mile trips was 1/2 power. Time to drive 4 1/2 miles 2 hours. Another lesson I learned concerns the wheels. Solid tires No. Inflatable tires Yes. The sidewalks around here are just in such poor condition things were being thrown out of the basket. One 4 mile trip with stop at 2 miles, resulted in driving home in snow! Didn't know - but should have - T5 = no traction in snow. Another 4 mile trip resulted in a 2 hour "rest" period which resulted in my driving home in the dark. Better lights were needed. Ask the drivers, they'll you! I am out running errands and taking rides every day there isn't snow on the sidewalks. I trust my T5 and really like it but the 6 mile limit per charging is a serious drawback. As for chatting with the manufacturer, I can't figure out how to contact them except through snail mail. So that's my update. Still like it but 8 miles per round trip are too few. Supermarkets let me charge the T5 while shopping.
repare to be dazzled, amazed, and utterly spellbound by the Hoverfly T5 Mobility Scooter, a marvel of modern engineering and design that will transform your mobility experience! This isn't just a scooter; it's your ticket to freedom, adventure, and unparalleled comfort on four wheels.
This says it's for people up to 6'1" or 6'2". My son is 5'10" and my wife is 5'8". It's comfortable for them, but would be more comfortable if the seat could be adjusted to a higher height or scooted back more, but it can't. It has a lever for choosing to drive or push it. The battery is easily removed for charging, loading or unloading the scooter. The handlebar adjusts to different angles easily and the seat lifts straight up for removing. It beeps when you are backing up and it has driven smoothly on cement and grass for us so far. We'll be trying it out at the zoo on Wednesday. It's nice that my wife can start going on family outings again. It came with most tools needed and has 2 keys. We like that it's shell is a vinyl material so that it doesn't scratch like metal would. We hope to be using this for many years.
I bought this for my sister after her leg was amputated. It has helped her so much. It was easy to assemble. It’s small enough, lightweight and easy to load and unload. It goes fast enough to go on walks with her family. The battery lasts for over 2 hours on 1 charge. The joy and freedom it’s given her is worth every penny.
I purchased this for a family member recently diagnosed with MS. Needing an assisting device has been upsetting but this one was exciting. This one doesn't look like a typical senior citizen scooter, its more sporty. Assembly was very easy and all tools were included. We took it for a ride around the neighborhood and it did great. We went up and down hill, over bumps and on slants without any issues. The light is bright, the horn is mighty but not too loud and it's fast when you want it to be. Im a fast walker and I was the one trying to keep up. The removable basket is securely attached. The breaks were great, just needed to twist them up a little (not tool required) to get the maximum squeeze. We are excited to get out and go places that were going to be to much walking. I was able to fold it down quickly and load it into my vehicle by myself. Other brands we looked at I would have needed another person to lift with me.
couldn’t be happier with this scooter! It’s lightweight enough (only 60 lbs) that I can lift and fit it easily into my trunk, but still feels very sturdy when riding. The 200W motor handles different surfaces—gravel, grass, even uneven outdoor paths—without a problem, and the shock-absorbing tires make the ride comfortable.
The battery life is excellent; I get a solid range close to the advertised 13 miles, and charging only takes about 5 hours. The seat is comfortable, and I love the extra safety features like the headlight, horn, and reflector for night use.
For the price, this scooter is a fantastic value. It gives me independence, rides smoothly both indoors and outdoors, and feels safe and reliable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a portable, durable, and easy-to-use mobility scooter!
Assembly was incredibly easy; once you've read the instructions beforehand, you can complete the process in under 20 minutes. Important: When installing the seat bracket, carefully refer to the pictures to ensure the bracket is oriented correctly. Otherwise, the instructions are incredibly clear. The vehicle is sturdy, well-made, and easy to move. The battery is easily accessible for charging, and you can also charge it directly. The vehicle won't start while charging, requiring the key. The seat and armrests are adjustable, and the steering column is height-adjustable to accommodate users of all sizes. Driving controls, headlights, battery indicator, horn, and keyhole are all located on the steering column. It's a pleasure to drive, and the ride is smooth on both hard and grass surfaces. It charges quickly and has excellent battery life. This scooter meets all my mobility needs, has a speed of approximately 6 km/h, and features voice prompts, making it very user-friendly. Turning is agile and smooth. This purchase is an excellent value.

You won’t have to worry about struggling with complicated controls or feeling uncomfortable. Another huge plus is its portability. Imagine how much easier it will be to get around when we travel, or even just moving it in and out of the car for errands. And let's not forget the battery life. This scooter has an impressive range on a single charge, so you won’t be constantly worrying about running out of power. Let’s take the leap and bring a little more ease and joy into our lives with this scooter.
I’m very happy with this purchase ,ideal for short runs to the park and mall ,and the church etc
Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the past two months of SNAFUs. I received the scooter in a box shortly after I bought it. I was easy to put together and get it up and running. The only problem was that it didn't seem to charge the battery. The next day I emailed Hoverfly as indicated in some of the paperwork. Got an email from GOTRAX, which I think is their support service. Chatted back and forth with a person named Kayla. She figured out that the battery was bad. She said that there were no batteries in the warehouse and it would be a month until they got any in. Long story short, she kept in touch so I knew what all was happening and all of a sudden there was a new battery delivered on the door step. Only took a little time to change them out and now everything seems to be working as it is supposed to. After a few days or running around on it I’ve put about 33 miles on it. I love the ability to get to the local stores and run my usual errands. Parking is easiest!
I ordered my key over two weeks ago, and the label was created two days later. The actual key, however, still HASN'T BEEN SHIPPED! Emails haven't been answered, so I can't use the expensive scooter I bought.
Love it. Just what I needed to enjoy fresh air.
It was difficult to get out of box in a wheelchair and watched YouTube video
This company has the WORST customer service ever. The young lady who I have spoken with is barely understandable. The method of communication from her to corporate office is pathetic at best. Corporate office does not have the ability to answer multiple questions. So anytime I receive an answer to my questions, I only get an answer for 1. Then the frustration builds.
The machine itself is very nice. The only problem we’re having with it is it’s pretty heavy. My daughter helps take care of me and it’s very hard for her to lift in and out of the car. I tried to cancel it and get a lighter scooter and then claimed that it already been shipped I rejected it with FedEx and they turned right around and red delivered it and they put it in a spot at my house Where I did not see it when I did see it they were already . We are trying to figure out now the way of shipping it back if we can’t figure out a way to make it light enough, she can get it in the car.
I purchased the Hoverfly Ourea Electric Bike 26”, from Amazon in Jan 2025 for my daughter who is a college student with long commutes to class and lacrosse practice. Here it is Sep 2025 and the bike only worked for about 30 days total. It is a defective bike and we have had a terrible time with Hoverflys customer service team basically putting the burden of fixing the multiple major issues on my daughter, who had to fumble with various parts sent to her without instructions and sent to the wrong address on multiple occasions.
This bike had ongoing and serious defects since purchased. It has been incredibly frustrating for our family, particularly because our daughter is 3000 miles away, leaving us unable to help her attempt to fix the various issues with the bike by herself.
Despite attempts to troubleshoot and work with Hoverflys, the bike is no longer functional and cannot be used safely. The most recent repair the company advised us did not work. This was after sending a controller, throttle, and mainline. None of which fixed the intermittent inoperation. Multiple repair attempts and communications have failed to resolve the issues.
We have attempted to do everything the company directed but this bike is defective and has failed despite extensive troubleshooting. The burden of repair has been unreasonable.
The return timeframe through Amazon has passed as we were hopeful that we could work with Hoverflys to address the repairs, but now we are out of time and money. We have asked Hoverflys to honor their warranty but they kept exhausting us with more repairs.
Do not purchase a product from this company.
We have requested a refund for this defective product but have not had a response from Hoverflys.
Rest assured my daughter will be spreading the word on social media that this product and this company do not support their customers.
Fantastic scooter! Easily put together!
I bought this for my mom. She's 80 years old and doesn't understand anything about electronic products. But the T5's control panel is incredibly intuitive—it took her less than half an hour to fully learn how to go forward, reverse, and turn. The speed settings are adjustable, and I set it to the low gear for her, which feels very safe. Now she’s the coolest grandma in the community!
