Do step-through frames feel less stable?

No. Our models are built with a robust Carbon Steel frame to maintain stability and rigidity. The Nephele and H3 are foldable ebikes. They feature a low center of gravity and stable 16-inch integrated wheels with fat tires.

How portable are these step-through models?

Both the H3 and Nephele are also foldable E-bikes. They fold down to a compact size of 20.1 x 27.1 x 31.5 inches, which is perfect for storing in small apartments, RVs, or car trunks.

What type of lights and safety features do these bikes have?

Both step-through ebikes include a front white headlight. For excellent rear visibility, they also have a red taillight with a flashing brake light. All Hoverfly E-bikes are also UL2849 safety certified.

The Difference Between Pedal Assist and Throttle

When you ride a step-through electric bike, you have two ways to engage the electric motor. Understanding the difference helps you maximize your ride distance and control.

1. Pedal Assist (PAS): This system uses a speed sensor to detect when you are pedaling. When engaged, the motor gently boosts your effort.

The H3 and Nephele models use one level of pedal assist. This is the most efficient way to travel long distances, as it conserves the battery.

Both models have a max pedal-assisted range of 25 miles.

2. Throttle (Zero Start): The throttle (a twist grip on the right handlebar) allows you to accelerate the bike without pedaling at all.

Use the throttle when starting from a stop sign or quickly getting up to speed.

Using the throttle constantly will drain the battery much faster than using pedal assist.
